FLOTUS Talks Post Presidency, 'Let Girls Learn' Campaign On Colbert
NEW YORK, NY (WJZ) -- First Lady Michelle Obama was on "The Late Show" with Stephne Colbert Monday night and she revealed what she's most looking forward to when she leaves the White House.
As Linh Bui reports, FLOTUS talked about the simple things in life.
Mrs. Obama's post-presidency plans? Trips to Target and rolling down the windows.
She also discussed her girls' education initiative.
During an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the First Lady talked about the little things she's looking forward to most when she leaves the White House.
"I also want to do little things like open a window. I want to go to Target. I want to drive," Obama said.
Despite donning designer dresses, meeting world leaders, and rubbing elbows with famous celebrities -- Mrs. Obama said she misses the simple pleasures in life.
"One day as a treat, my lead agent let us have the windows open on the way to Camp David," she said. 'It was five minutes out."
The First Lady was also promoting her "Let Girls Learn" initiative.
Over the weekend, she took part in a star-studded global citizen festival in Central Park.
Brining attention to the fact that 62 million girls around the world are not in school.
Obama says the "Let Girls Learn" campaign is something she and President Obama plan to continue long after the White House.

Colbert will sit down with actors Ellen Page and Jesse Einsenberg on Tuesday night.
