WEATHER BLOG: More Fall-Like Temps

After a chilly start this morning, it will be another wonderful day around the region with plenty of sunshine and temperatures right around 70. High pressure will continue to dominate our weather through the Columbus Day Weekend. Temperatures on Monday will be quite warm...about 5-10 degrees above average - into the middle 70s!

A storm system currently located across the western Canadian prairies will move eastward across Manitoba and western Ontario today. By tonight into Monday, it will deepen as it moves to the north and east over Hudson Bay, and will bring a cold front to the area Tuesday. This front looks pretty starved for moisture and the best chance for any shower will be early in the day, but with the upper trough still over the area in the afternoon, a few sprinkles cannot be ruled out in western MD. Temperatures Tuesday will remain in the 70s before more seasonable air moves in midweek.

In the longer range, there is some question as to how active it will be around the area.
