Man Charged With Fatally Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A Charles County man has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend in her Upper Marlboro home.

Prince George's County Police say the body of 56-year-old Amanda Jones was found Tuesday morning by her daughter. Officers say her former boyfriend, 56-year-old Mitchell Cole of White Plains, was charged Wednesday in her death and is being held without bond.

Investigators say Cole broke into Jones' house Monday night and waited for 40 minutes for her to come home.

Detectives say they are trying to find the weapon used in the killing.
