MDTA Worker Among Those Injured In I-95 Crash In Harford Co.

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--A crash on southbound I-95 leaves multiple people injured, including an MDTA worker on Thursday night.

The crash happened around  7:30 p.m. on I-95  past Exit 77 near  Rt. 24.

Dense fog limits the visibility as an MDTA worker is assisting a disabled vehicle on the side of the road.

Moments following, a four-crash occurs and I-95 southbound is shutdown for miles.

According to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company in Harford County, hazmat was called to the scene to pump off fuel from a 18-wheeler fuel tank which was also involved in the collision.

The volunteer fire company says four people were seriously injured in the crash. The MDTA confirms one of their own was among those injured in the accident.

One victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview and three others to Shock Trauma, all listed in critical condition, authorities said.

SB I-95 reopened just after 11:00 p.m. Thursday. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
