All 5 Of Maryland's Casinos Report Revenue Gains In October

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced that all five Maryland casinos reported revenue gains in October.

The agency announced Thursday that state casinos generated an estimated total of $94.7 million last month. This was an increase of $7.9 million, or 9.2 percent, over the same month last year.

Maryland Live, the state's largest casino, generated $54.9 million, a 9.3 percent increase. Horseshoe, the state's second-largest casino, reported $24.6 million in revenue, a 9.8 percent increase.

Revenue increased by 1.6 percent to $6.2 million at Hollywood Casino Perryville, by 13 percent to $4.6 million at the slots-only Casino at Ocean Downs, and by 10.8 percent to

$4.2 million at Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

A sixth Maryland casino, MGM National Harbor, is due to open in the second half of 2016.
