Pete Medhurst Talks Navy Upset Over Memphis
Play by play voice of the Navy football team, Pete Medhurst, joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about Navy's big win over #13 ranked Memphis University this weekend.
The Midshipmen didn't just beat Memphis, they looked dominant in their 45-20 victory. Pete talked about the defense making the difference, "I think if you look deeply at the Memphis schedule, there weren't a lot of defenses that challenged Memphis. Navy brought a physical brand of defense that Memphis had not seen and attacked them defensively. I thought it made a huge difference in the game. Memphis put the ball on the ground three times over the course of the contest and the Mids got an interception. For good teams to lose games they have to contribute to their demise a little bit more often than not. Memphis did that and Navy took advantage on Saturday night."
