Tony Lombardi Talks Ravens-Jaguars Matchup
Tony Lombardi with the Russell Street Report joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to help preview what we will see in Sunday's Ravens-Jaguars game.
With injuries plaguing the Ravens receivers this year, Jeremy Conn asked Tony who he thinks will be the top option in the Ravens passing attack, "Kamar Aiken is gonna draw the number one coverage of the other team. That's kind of shocking that is your receiving core that's being asked to do that, so this is going to be, in my opinion, Joe Flacco's toughest test."
The Ravens have never lost a home game to the Jaguars in six tries but Tony Lombardi says this week won't be easy for Baltimore. "This Jacksonville team is just a couple of plays away from being a 5-4 kind of team and they've got some playmakers on offense and that's where the ravens have struggled - in the defensive secondary. They've got Marquise Lee; they're talking like he might be coming back, and not to mention guys like Allen Robinson and Hurns and even Brian Walters who looks like their version of Julian Edelman. So they've got a lot of weapons and they've got good tight ends. I know their two tight ends have been in a slump but Julius Thomas and Mercedes Lewis are capable guys and the ravens have a way of being therapeutic for tight ends in this league."
