Pedestrian Dead After Fatal Crash In Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Police in Montgomery County say a man is dead after he was fatally struck by a car in Germantown.

Police say that the collision happened just after 6 p.m. Friday on Route 355 just north of Scenery Drive. Police say that the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu struck 47-year-old Damien Anthony Denning as he was crossing the traffic lanes.

Police say Denning was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries Saturday. Police say that the driver of the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and that the crash remains under investigation.
