Ravens WR Perriman's Season Over Before It Even Got Started
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- His season was over before it even got started.
Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman has been officially shut down for the year.
"Breshad has worked hard to come back from his injury, but after discussing his current condition with our medical staff and Breshad, we have decided that putting him on Injured Reserve for the remainder of the season is our best course of action."
The Ravens' first-round draft pick hurt his right knee on the first full squad practice of training camp.
The team kept him on the roster for more than two months, hoping he'd eventually be able to play.
It's a huge disappointment not being able to play my first year in the NFL, but I will come back harder than ever. pic.twitter.com/uN00HZYEFE

Along with putting Perriman on I.R., the Ravens cut wide receiver/return man Jeremy Ross and placed cornerback Asa Jackson on Injured Reserve.
The Ravens offset these moves by signing veteran cornerback Cassius Vaughn, wide receiver Kaelin Clay, and tight end Chase Ford.
