Cops: Md. Teen Arrested After Stealing Car With Kids Inside

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police arrested teenager after he allegedly stole a car with two young children inside.

Our media partner The Baltimore Sun reports that a woman was putting air in her tires at a gas station in East Baltimore when 18-year-old Deqean Hammond allegedly jumped into the driver's seat and stole the car with two young boys in car seats in the back.

Police say the victim's smart phone was still inside the vehicle, and the police were able to trace the phone's location to the 1800 block of North Broadway. Police officers found Hammond and a 15-year-old in the car at that location and both were arrested. The young boys were later found safe and unharmed on the 1900 block of East Chase Street.
