Father & Son Assaulted With Baseball Bat; Suspect Arrested
ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) -- The suspect accused of assaulting a man and his teenage son with a baseball bat has been arrested.
According to police, they were called to the 100-block of Hanover Street for an assault.
Police say 30-year-old Matthew Channing Vanreenen assaulted a 14-year-old boy and his father with a bat. Police say it's because of a dispute Vanreenen's stepfather had with the family.
The boy had a massive contusion to his upper left thigh; his father had facial injuries to the right side of his face.
Vanreenen has been charged with first and second degree assault.
