Mike Preston Grades The Ravens Win Over The Browns On Monday Night Football

Mike Preston covers the Ravens and writes a column for the Baltimore Sun sports section.

Mike joined the rest of the MMQB crew to give out his grades for the Ravens 33-27 win over the Browns.

Mike started off by grading the performance of Matt Schaub saying "he managed the game well, and that's all anyone can ask of him." The running backs received a grade of B with Mike saying "Buck Allen was a threat as a runner and receiver...backup Terrance West had a solid effort against his former team." The receivers were given a grade of C+ and Mike gave the offensive line a grade of B saying "the Ravens opened up some holes and were successful in cutting off the Browns' pursuit, which opened up cutback lanes."

On the defensive side Mike gave the line a grade of B saying "the Browns had no running game because the Ravens were dominant up front." The linebackers received a grade of C- with Mike saying "outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil might be the hardest worker on the team, and his pressure was consistent." Mike gave the secondary a grade of F saying "the Ravens haven't covered a tight end all year, and they couldn't cover Browns tight ends, either."

Finally Mike gave the special teams a grade of B and the coaching staff a grade of C+ saying "offensively, the Ravens did just enough to win, and they managed consecutive wins for the first time this season."
