FBI Searching For Clues In 2014 Cold Case; Offer $10K Reward

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward in hopes of solving a 2014 cold case.

WJZ's Mike Schuh has more.

On May 3, 2104, 30-year-old Larry Henderson, who went by the name "Boxx," was gunned down in the 2500 block of Huron Street.

Now, with little clues a year later,  police are pleading with the public to come forward with information.

"Someone had put on Facebook 'Rest in Peace Boxx,' that's how I found out that my son was gone," said Boxx's mother Alice Oaks.

Oaks, whose first son was also murdered, says she had a strange thought sometime before her second son was killed that she needed to plan Boxx's funeral.

Without much to go on, the case grows cold. No suspects. No arrests.

The FBI is interested in what happened, canvasing the neighborhood where Henderson was killed and handing out flyers asking for help.

Officials are reveling few details in the killing, but say it may have been gang related and solving this case could lead to others.

Oaks doesn't believe her song was involved with gangs.

"Everybody loved Larry, why someone killed him I don't' know…I just need some closure," she said.

For the FBI, that closure is worth $10,000.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the FBI at (410) 265-8080.
