Thousands Gather For 2015 Orioles FanFest

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--The season may be over for the Orioles, but that doesn't mean they are out. Today the team and coaches were out meeting and greeting for this year's FanFest.

WJZ's Marcus Washington has more.

They waited in long lines just hoping to get a chance to meet some of their favorite players.

Orioles FanFest 2015 welcomed thousands of fans to meet players, mascots, coaches and even WJZ sports anchor Mark Viviano.

But of course the main attraction: the players and showing off that Orioles pride in a number of ways.

"It's been a very good and positive experience and if you've never been here before I'd definitely recommend coming down next year or the year after," said Matt Levinson.

Fans were also able to attend seminars lead by current and former players and coaches.

The kids had a lot of fun hitting a few balls while others were taking advantage of one-on-one time with a few players.

"They kind of make you feel as family, because as fans, we're kind of the back bone of what makes things go here," Levinson said.

It's a day about the fans and some of those fans making big demands for next season.

"I won't settle for anything less than pennant. I'm like Buck, we're here to win pennants and win championships," said Levinson.

Today's Orioles FanFest was presented by Visit Sarasota County.
