Maryland Man Gets 2 Life Sentences In Delaware Man's Death

CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus 50 years in the slaying of a Delaware man who was reported missing last year.

A Dorchester County judge sentenced Deshaune Darling of Salisbury on Monday in the death of 40-year-old Radames Guzman of Magnolia, Delaware.

Maryland State Police say Guzman was an informant for a Delaware State Police narcotics unit and helped with several cases related to Darling. Guzman's body was found three weeks after he was reported missing last year. Darling was convicted in September of first-degree murder, kidnapping and other charges.

In May, Darling was sentenced to 30 years in prison in a high-speed police car chase through Wicomico County. When he stopped, police say Darling was wearing a bullet-proof vest and had a gun.
