Flights Starting In Baltimore, 2 DC-area Airports To Re-Open

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Flights are slowly starting at a Baltimore airport and two other airports in the Washington region are expected to re-open with limited flights Monday.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which oversees Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, said Sunday evening in a statement that both airports would have at least one runway open beginning Monday morning. The authority says it expects airlines to operate limited flight schedules at both airports Monday.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said Sunday evening that one of its two major runways is open and that the first post-storm flight arrived at about 4 p.m. A limited flight schedule of primarily arrivals is expected for the rest of the day.
