Police Charge Man In Fatal Essex Stabbing
ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) -- A 46-year-old man has been charged in the December 2015 death of an Essex man.
Daniel Albert Atkinson, Jr. of the 900 block of Woodlynn Road was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Baltimore County Police responded to a home in the unit block of Sparton Drive on Dec. 30 just after 11 a.m., for a cardiac arrest.
Officers found 78-year-old B.G. Ledford suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.
Ledford's ex-wife came to the location after family members weren't able to contact him.
When she entered, she found him lying on the floor.
The investigation revealed that Atkinson stabbed Ledford in his home during an altercation. They were acquaintances.
