Baltimore About To Get High-Voltage Exhibit

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Charm City is about to get even brighter with a high-voltage exhibit. Baltimore's streets will light up with art, music and special performances for a festival called Light City.

Jessica Kartalija explains it's the first of its kind in Baltimore.

Light City: Baltimore is an event all about innovation and art; it's expected to draw thousands to Baltimore.

"Central to Light City Baltimore is the 1.5 mile BGE Art Walk with 50 attractions with illuminated visual artworks and live performances, street theater and music," said festival director Kathy Hornig.

Baltimore loves going high-tech with holiday light displays; downtown buildings are the perfect canvas for neon innovation.

Combine the lights with an Artscape vibe with musical performances, street theater and concerts featuring local talent.

Along with the festival, there will be a series of conferences focusing on sustainability, creativity and health.

Light City runs from March 28 through April 3. For a schedule and more information, click here.
