Father Of Murdered Teen Speaks Exclusively To Dr. Phil

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Dr. Phil exclusive: Wednesday, he spoke with the family of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell. She's the girl found dead in January and two Virginia Tech students from Maryland are accused of her murder.

Mary Bubala has more.

Dr. Phil revealed a new photo of 18-year-old David Eisenhauer, the track star from Columbia who's accused of luring Nicole from her home and killing her after sources say the two carried on an inappropriate relationship.

"I would like to be locked up in the same cell with him," her father said.

Eisenhauer is charged along with another Maryland teen and Virginia Tech student, 19-year-old Natalie Keepers.

Nicole's father told Dr. Phil that she was stabbed to death.

"The plan was for him to cut Nicole's throat," he said.

He spoke of the family's anger, sadness and dismay that they didn't do enough when they learned of their 13-year-old's secret online world.

"We found out that Nicole had been on social media, talking to inappropriate people," he said. "Some of the things that were said were inappropriate from Nicole."

But he says his daughter was vulnerable because she was bullied at school for being overweight. Nicole took medication after having a liver transplant.

Lovell's mission now is to alert other parents to pay more attention to what their children are doing online, especially on Kik---where Nicole interacted with David Eisenhauer.

"I want to get out the word for the next little girl who might be in the situation or the next dad who might lose his daughter. Shut this...down," he said.

Kik did make a statement to Dr. Phil, saying it cooperates with law enforcement to combat child predators and did so in this case.
