Man Pleads Guilty To Attempted Murder In 'Selfie' Arson Case

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A Pasadena man has pleaded guilty after being accused of setting fire to a Glen Burnie home in a jealous rage and returning to take selfies.

The Capital reports 26-year-old Justin Clum pleaded guilty Tuesday to 25 counts including attempted first- and second-degree murder, arson and assault in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.

Assistant State's Attorney Jason Miller says Clum burned down the home after learning that his one-time girlfriend had slept with Clum's family friend. The family friend lived at the Glen Burnie home. Miller says Clum purchased fuel and spilled the gasoline over the home's front porch, setting it ablaze.

A sentencing hearing for Clum has been scheduled for March 21.

Defense attorney William Cooke says Clum could face life in prison.
