WEATHER BLOG: Frigid Blast

A cold airmass in place now will be followed by even colder ones over the next few days. A deep area of low pressure over Eastern Canada is allowing bitter Arctic air to plunge into the eastern United States. The coldest will arrive on Friday night and stick around all weekend. Look for low temperatures to get close to zero Saturday night, with windchills below zero. On Valentine's Day, sunshine will be around for awhile, but it will only top out around 20 degrees! We may also be looking at another winter-type storm by later Monday and Tuesday, with a combination of precip types! More on that this weekend! Stay warm, protect your pets and dress for this frigid blast.
