WEATHER BLOG: Sun Will Be Out Today

Hi Everyone!

So a burst of overnight snow made me think of a great James Taylor line, from the song, "Sweet Baby James",.."The Berkshire's seemed dreamlike on account of that frostin'…" Well we did get a "frostin' " but this AM was anything but "dreamlike". Steps, sidewalks, side streets, and even some main lines were slicker than you want to deal with at the start of a day. And why? Simple, backwash from the Low that gave us our weather yesterday moved across Maryland overnight.

That Low is a big one, and to be honest, could have really banged us yesterday. As it was the big energy missed the Baltimore area but there is STILL rotation around the storm, and hence the overnight light burst of snow.

The sun will be with us today, and the melt continues. And tomorrow too.

How many people do you know that said, yesterday, "After 30 inches this is NOTHING!" Total proof of how adaptable we humans are. Face it if yesterday was the first 'event" of the year the panic would have been legendary. As it is, that "weren't nothin'…" GOOD!
