Baltimore County Police Looking For Ring Thief

DUNDALK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Baltimore County are asking for the public's help in identifying the person who stole an approximately $3,000 ring from a department store in the Eastpoint Mall.

Police said in a statement Monday that on the afternoon of January 30, a suspect entered the J.C. Penney store in the mall and asked to see a ring at the jewelry counter. Police said that when the employee removed the ring from the display, the suspect grabbed it and ran away.

Police released an image of the suspect captured by the store's video surveillance system. Police did not describe the ring that was taken other than to say it is worth almost $3,000.
