Brady Anderson Analyzes Spring Training Workouts With The Orioles

Vice President of Baseball Operations for the Baltimore Orioles Brady Anderson goes over the skills of some of the players like Trey Mancini and Hyun-soo Kim and how the workouts went during the offseason.

He's been working with Hyun-soo Kim and is getting to know him, even with the constant language translations. "He is going to fit in easily because of his personality. He's a fun guy to be around, very charismatic," said Anderson. He continues to say he moves well for a big guy and has a consistent swing. There were some questions about his throwing arm, but Anderson said, "his arm is plenty good enough that players won't be running on him."

Another player that fans are excited about is Trey Mancini. Anderson had worked with Trey Mancini a few times before the season started and spent time analyzing his impressive season in the minor leagues. Anderson continued, "I don't know of any players that have hit 360, 42 doubles, 21 home runs in 5 months in the minor leagues. You can go through the [Orioles] lineup with Manny Machado...he didn't do anything like that in AA, neither did Adam Jones. I didn't do it, Cal didn't do it. It's very unusual."
