Police: Man Would Dunk Cat In Toilet To Correct Behavioral Issues

ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ)—Aberdeen Police have arrested a man they say subjected his cat to extreme punishment by dunking it underwater to correct behavioral issues.

The investigation began Tuesday after a report by a concerned citizen.

Police say they responded to a home in the 700 block of W. Bel Air Ave and found the cat soaked, wounded and disoriented.

The cat's owner, 62-year-old Albert R Knox, told police that he would dunk the cat underwater in a toilet and bathtub and other visible physical injuries to correct behavioral issues.

Knox is facing two charges of animal cruelty and aggravated cruelty to an animal.
