Light City Baltimore: Massive Festival Featuring Music, Innovation Kicks Off Monday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The city of Baltimore will be lit with excitement as we enter a week-long festival. The inaugural "Light City Baltimore" is the first large-scale international light festival for the city.

Marcus Washington reports it will use lights, music and innovation to put on a state-of-the-art experience.

Baltimore's infamous Inner Harbor will be lit up in a way it never has before. Light City Baltimore is making its grand entrance, giving local artists the tremendous opportunity to showcase the positive things coming out of Charm City.

Now everything is not set up just yet, but once everything is up and running, it will illuminate throughout the Inner Harbor.

"I understand it's just being set up but the lights really draw you in and it looks like a lot of fun," said Jones.

Jones arrived in Baltimore from New York City for a six-week stay and says he will definitely come back.

"We're also expecting that our businesses, attractions and restaurants will have a great kick-off to the tourism season here at the Inner Harbor," Hornig said.

Light City Baltimore will run from Monday, March 28, through Sunday, April 3.
