Prosecutors say on April 10, 2015, Cpl. Larry Adams was on routine patrol when he saw White lurking beside a 7-Eleven in Cape St. Claire. Authorities say White fled and hid when Adams approached him, and ambushed the officer.

Prosecutors say White had a handgun and shot Adams once in the neck.
