300 Dogs Seized From Wicomico County Home

EDEN, Md. (WJZ)—Three hundred dogs were removed from a home in Wicomico County after authorities say they were living in "unsatisfactory conditions," according to report by WBOC.

Wicomico County Animal Control were joined with local authorities on Monday where 200 of the 300 dogs were found inside a barn on the property, located on the 5000 block of Cooper Road in the Eden area.

"There were pregnant dogs, there were puppies, um they were not in good condition, matted fur, and there living conditions were not good at all," said Aaron Balsamo, executive director of the Humane Society of Wicomico County. "There was no air flow in room. And there was uh feces and things like that everywhere."

Balsamo tells WBOC that the vast number of dogs suddenly coming under the Humane Society's care has prompted the organization to seek donations from the public including dog food, old newspapers and liners for dog cages, as well as cleaning supplies.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The humane society says they need your help with donations of the following items:

-Wet/Canned Dog Food (PLEASE DO NOT DONATE DRY BAGGED DOG FOOD)
-Dog/Puppy Treats
-Fabuloso Cleaner (Purple)
-Gallons of Bleach
