Zach Britton Talks About The 7-0 Start For The Orioles

Zach Britton joins the Scott Garceau Show with Ken Weinman to talk about the hot start for the Orioles in the 2016 season as they're off to a 7-0 start and staying focused.

The Orioles have started out hot but it has been cold in Boston, which isn't always easy for pitchers, especially a closer coming out of the bullpen. Zach tells Scott, "The challenge is on the starters, I remember being there as a starter, you get warmed up but sitting there in those half-innings while we're hitting, especially if we're scoring runs, you get cold. There's no way to escape the cold unless you want to go back inside the clubhouse but not too many guys want to do that. You want to stay engaged in the game." As for getting a grip on the baseball when it's time to throw, Scott offers a tip from the cold Michigan nights on how to get a good grip.

Spring Training was a cause for concern among some O's fans but Zach reassures Ken that it's called Spring Training for a reason and that Buck always reminds them that spring can be deceiving. The team just really wanted to get their work in and be ready to go when the season starts.

Zach also weighs in on the Hyun Soo Kim situation being a non-issue inside the clubhouse.
