Attempted Murder Charges Follow Quadruple Shooting In Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 20-year-old has been arrested in the brazen shooting at a Northeast Baltimore cookout that sent four people, including a 12-year-old and 16-year-old, to the hospital Thursday night, according to police.

Stephon Carroll, 20, of Walther Avenue, is charged with four counts of attempted murder in connection to the gunfire, which authorities say was fueled by an ongoing neighborhood feud.

A dark-colored SUV pulled up to a cookout where the victims were gathered in the 4800 block of Frankford Avenue before 9:30 p.m. and a gunman got out and opened fire into the crowd before driving off, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds afterward. Police say a 12-year-old present was also grazed by gunfire. At last check, all were listed in stable condition.

"They suffered injuries ranging from being shot in the hand, elbow, foot -- nothing vital. But being shot in and of itself is a serious issue," Detective Donny Moses told reporters at a news briefing.
