3 Cars Burst Into Flames In Pikesville

PIKESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Investigators are trying to find out whether arson is to blame for a vehicle fire that caused two others nearby to go up in flames outside a Pikesville apartment complex Monday morning.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at Annen Woods, located on Harness Court, about 8:15 a.m. That's where they found the vehicles engulfed in flames in the parking lot, according to Baltimore County Police.

The driver of the vehicle that first caught fire, who was standing outside of the vehicle when it exploded into flames, was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

The police department's Arson Unit is looking into the incident, but police are reluctant to say more about the incident until they have a chance to interview the man who was injured.

"So far they have not seen any evidence that would indicate any kind of criminal activity," said Baltimore County Police spokesman, Cpl. John Wachter.
