3 Men, 1 Woman Killed, Others Injured In Shootings

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Three men and a woman were killed, one man was clinging to life and another was hurt in a series of shootings spread out across the city of Baltimore Tuesday night, according to police.

Officers called to a shooting in the 3200 block of East Baltimore Street just after 9:30 p.m. found Asia Brockington, 26, of the 500 block Loudon Avenue, with a gunshot wound to the back. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

About 15 minutes later, a report of gunfire brought police to the 500 block of Loudon Avenue. That's where they found Damon Gingles, 38, of the 3700 block of Cranston Avenue, with multiple gunshots to the head and body. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police have not said whether the shootings were connected.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a third shooting in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue about 11:45 p.m., where they found Carlos Younger, 24, of the 5800 block of High Gate Drive, with multiple gunshot wounds to the back. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Hours earlier, there were two shootings reported just minutes apart on the opposite sides of town around 7 p.m.

Police responding to a reported double shooting in East Baltimore found two men with gunshot wounds in the 2700 block of Ashland Avenue. They say a 25-year-old man had been shot multiple times and a 48-year-old man had been wounded in the right ankle by a stray round. The younger of the two victims later died of his injuries, while the older victim was expected to survive.

In West Baltimore, officers found a 27-year-old man shot in the head in the 200 block of North Payson Street. Paramedics took him to the hospital where, at last check, he was listed in critical condition, according to police.
