Leads Sought In Woodlawn Man's Cold Case Killing

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ) -- Detectives are asking for the public's help solving the cold case killing of a Baltimore County man whose remains were found in the woods in Owings Mills last fall -- six months after he disappeared.

Now, nearly a year after his initial disappearance, investigators are hoping someone will come forward and help them track down the person responsible for the death of Kenneth Damont Henson, 37, of Woodlawn.

Police suspect foul play in the death of Henson, who abruptly went missing last May. They say he was supposed to meet up with someone at Leon Day Park, just a few miles from his Kirkwood Road home, the afternoon of May 2. He was never heard from again.

Henson, who was last seen in the Walbrook Junction area of Baltimore, was reported missing May 11. Authorities later located his car, a 2007 black Dodge Charger, near the intersection of Rosalind Avenue and Nurton Street.

There were no signs of the 37-year-old until October 11 when someone walking in the woods near Owings Mills Boulevard and Gwynnbrook Avenue stumbled upon a human skull. The Chief Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the skull, and additional remains later found in the same area, belonged to Henson.

An autopsy ruled the cause of death was multiple injuries and concluded it was a homicide.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
