Baltimore Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Outside Home Depot

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- City police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened outside a Home Depot store in Northwest Baltimore. It happened at about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 6600 block of Reisterstown Road.

Lt. Jarron Jackson with the Baltimore Police Department says a man in his early 20s and a woman were approached by a male suspect in the store. There was an argument of some kind, and the group was asked to leave by security. They did.

About an hour later, Baltimore police say the suspect again approached the same man and woman. This time, in the Home Depot parking lot.

The suspect then shot the other man and fled the scene. The victim died a short time later.

"It's sad. Its definitely sad. Men are supposed to be able to reason. You shouldn't be killing one another," said Martezes Wilkerson.

Police say no one involved in the shooting was an employee at Home Depot, and that the incident is being investigated as a possible domestic dispute.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
