Giant Food Recalls Veggie Burgers Due To Listeria

LANDOVER, Md. (WJZ) -- Giant Food has issued a recall of certain veggie burgers due to the potential of Listeria.

The following product has been pulled from store shelves:

• Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burger, 10 oz., UPC 8086800010, with best by dates of 1/27/18, 2/3/18, 2/9/18, 3/8/18, 3/23/18 & 4/13/18

Giant has not reported any illnesses to date.

Listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as sometimes fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems.

Customers who have purchased this product should bring their receipt to Giant for a full refund.
