2 People, Including Elderly Woman, Found Dead in Sykesville Home

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Two people, including a 74-year-old woman, were found dead by police inside a Sykesville home after relatives of the woman asked authorities for a welfare check.

Carroll County Sheriff's deputies responded to the home on the 1500 block of Fannie Dorsey Road around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

They looked inside the home through a window and discovered a dead man on the floor. His identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

After getting inside with the help of the fire department, the deputies found that 74-year-old Frances Fogle, the woman whose family was unable to reach her, was also dead.

Carroll County Sheriff's Office Investigators and Forensic Services Technicians were called to the scene to investigate, and both Frances Fogle and the man have been transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for determination of cause of death.

Police say there's no evidence suggesting anything other than natural causes.

The investigation will remain open, however, pending the final report from the Medical Examiner's Office.
