University Of Maryland President Tweets About Pepper Spray Incident

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- The president of the University of Maryland has released a statement on Twitter about an alleged pepper spray incident involving campus police at a graduation party.

Cell phone video posted on Twitter shows the chaotic moments.

It started with a noise complaint Friday night at The Courtyards apartment complex. Campus police used pepper spray to break up the party, then arrested two people.

Investigators are reviewing video from the officers' body cameras.

In the meantime, University President Wallace Loh Tweeted out, "I understand the anger and frustration. I remain very committed to fairness and transparency. I have asked the University of Maryland police department for a thorough investigation."
