Eric Weddle Is Everything The Ravens Expected And More
Garrett Downing, writer and reporter for the Baltimore Ravens Digital Media Team joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Ravens' OTAs and what he has seen from the team so far.
Garrett started off by talking about Eric Weddle and what he has seen from the new safety saying, "on the field this guy is everything that is advertised about him, and even within the building he feels like a guy who has been here forever...it reminds me of when the Ravens signed Steve Smith Sr. a few years ago he walked into the building with instant credibility." As far as Weddle's work ethic Garrett said, "he is a veteran and he's been in the building every single day consistently."
When asked about Trent Richardson and how he has looked so far in mini camps Garrett said, "he's putting more into this than any other opportunity he has had because he knows this is it." As for Richardson's possibilities of making the team Garrett said, "I'm not saying it's a definite but I put him on the team more than most other people do...his most likely path onto the team is probably as a 4th running back, I am excited to see him more than any other running back though because of his potential."
Garrett also went on to talk about different players throughout mini-camps who have impressed him on the field.
