Md. Child Actor's Star Rising On New AMC Show

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- From Baltimore County to TV screens across the country, a ten-year-old Maryland actor has been making a name for himself.

He sat down with Amy Yensi, who has more on the rising star and his new show.

Ten-year-old Elijah Jacob is front and center on the new AMC show Feed the Beast. The Catonsville native stars in the TV series alongside big names like David Schwimmer.

Elijah plays "T.J." on the show.

"He does not talk because he witnessed his mother get hit in a car accident and he uses his sketchbook to draw and feel out his emotions through there," said Elijah.

Elijah says he always knew he wanted to be in show business.

"When I was younger, I would watch people on screen and try to figure out what they were feeling and try to act it out," he said.

He got his start at age six and has since been in a movie, done some modeling and a few commercials. When he's not on set, the rising star likes to have fun, and especially enjoys baseball.

Elijah's mother, Carly Eutsler, is his number one fan, but wants her son to stay grounded.

"I'm so proud," she said. "I still make him do chores, I still make him pick up after himself."

Elijah is back home after four month's of filming, but says his dream is to make it big.

"Ten years? Hopefully doing movies, big screen. Hopefully this goes for a long time."

Elijah says though he's grateful to work in the Big Apple, Maryland will always be home.

You can catch Elijah on Feed the Beast Tuesdays at 10 p.m.
