Orioles Are Still Struggling With Finding Solid Pitching

Kevin Gausman has been rather inconsistent and is in "a weird little funk" according to Brittany Ghiroli and he's been good in flashes, but the Baltimore Orioles are definitely still struggling with solid pitching. "The Orioles badly need someone to be consistent," said Ghiroli.

When it comes to Ubaldo Jimenez's move to the bullpen, Ghiroli agrees that it was necessary. It was either the move to the bullpen or the disabled list, he was never going to go to Triple-A. "I don't think you've seen the last of Jimenez starting for the Orioles. They have a lot of double headers and make up days, their schedule is brutal. And then of course there's the chance that someone is under-performing or someone gets injured."

As far as an injury update for J.J. Hardy, Ghiroli said, "the earliest you could see him back would be Friday, but it's really going to be dependent upon what Hardy thinks. He's played well, he's fielded well. They could have him back very soon." On the flip side of that, Darren O'Day's injury is moving a bit slower.
