Vigil Held For 9-Year-Old Killed Outside Her School By Juvenile Driver
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Family and friends continue to mourn the loss of a nine-year-old girl who was hit and killed outside her Southwest Baltimore school Thursday by a driver fleeing police.
A candlelight vigil was held Saturday for Amirah Kinlaw outside Steuart Hill Academic Academy.

The third grade student was leaving the school around 2:20 p.m. Thursday when she was struck by a speeding driver. She later died from her injuries.
The driver who struck Amirah has been identified as a 14-year-old. Police say the boy was behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle. He was arrested at his home Friday and charged as a juvenile with vehicular manslaughter.
Dozens gathered outside Steuart Hill on Saturday to remember Amirah.
"People will look at me like I'm crazy, but I'm a God-fearing man, so to let my daughter rest in peace, I will forgive him," Amirah's father, Leon Carter, said.
Her principal, Tanyaneka Lipscomb, described the nine-year-old as a star student, who always put the needs of others ahead of herself.
"She was an example of being a star. She persevered through challenges of others, her peers, she helped them," said Lipscomb.
Three others were hurt in the crash that killed Amirah. Two have been treated and released. A third person still remains in the hospital.
