Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of 13-Year-Old Baltimore Boy

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --Baltimore Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy.

It happened earlier this month in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Ave.

According to police, the suspect, now identified as 25-year-old Anthony Clark Jr.,of Elkridge, also known as "Trouble", started opening fire in the neighborhood.

13-year-old DiAndre Barnes was killed as a result of the shooting. Police believe he was not the intended target and that the shooting was likely a drug beef gone wrong.

Police say the neighborhood wasted no time giving up info on the suspect and when officers spotted him  he started  shooting at them. No one was injured in that shootout. Clark was later arrested.

"It gives us a degree of satisfaction to identify this killer and bring him to justice," said Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis. It certainly can't bring DiAndre back but a person who takes the life of a 13-year-old and then has the intestinal fortitude to shoot at several police officers during a foot chase is the type of person that needs to be behind bars and behind bars for a long, long time."

Clark is facing charges of first degree murder, second degree murder and a host of other charges.
