Baltimore Woman Fatally Struck in Frederick Co.

THURMONT, Md. (WJZ)—A Baltimore woman has died after she was fatally struck in Frederick County early Sunday morning.

It happened just before 5:00 a.m. on southbound Rt. 15 at Tippin Drive, in Thurmont , Maryland.

State Police say 49-year-old Bonnie Lee Bush-Shaffer, of Baltimore, ran into the travel portion of Rt. 15 and was struck by a tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer operator was not able to avoid striking the pedestrian, police said.

Bonnie was pronounced dead at the scene.
