Inspector Falls Into Sink Hole In Downtown Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --An inspector was injured after falling into a massive sinkhole on Monday night, according to a Baltimore Department of Public Works spokesperson.

Officials tell WJZ that it happened around 9:30 p.m. at Mulberry Street between Greene and Paca Streets.

The victim was transported to an area hospital; the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.

The area will remain closed Tuesday morning while the Baltimore Department of Public Works conducts emergency sewer and water main repairs in the area.
