Time Running Out For Two $1 Million Lotto Winners In Md.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Time is running out for two, $1 million lottery winners to claim their cash at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The winning $1 million Mega Millions ticket from the Jan. 8 drawing was purchased at the Royal Farms store located at 7701 German Hill Road in Dundalk. The ticket matches all five of the white balls – 11, 39, 51, 57 and 75 – but did not match the Mega Ball, which was 2. The claiming deadline is 4:30 p.m. July 8.

The 7-Eleven located at 4907 Annapolis Road in Bladensburg sold the $1 million winning Powerball ticket in the Jan. 13 drawing. The ticket matches all five of the white balls – 4, 8, 19, 27, 34 – but did not match the Power Ball, which was 10. The claiming deadline is 4:30 p.m. July 13.

Winners of all Maryland Lottery drawing games have 182 days after the drawings to claim their prizes.

"This is exciting for us because when we greet big prize winners, we're meeting them on one of happiest days of their lives," said Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica. "We're eager to award these prizes and make two new Maryland Lottery millionaires!"

If the winners do not come forward to claim their prizes in time, the money will be deposited into the Maryland Lottery's Unclaimed Prize Fund, which helps to pay for the Lottery's second-chance contests and promotions.
