WEATHER BLOG: Code Orange Day

A code orange air quality alert is in place today.

It's important that people with more sensitive lungs avoid prolonged activity outdoors. It's also a great idea to carpool or use public transportation today!

Temps will surge into the lower 90s by the afternoon, but it will feel even warmer when you factor in the humidity.

Look for a *feels like* temperature anywhere from 95 to 100 degrees.

The heat will continue to build on Thursday and Friday with Friday likely being and feeling like our hottest day of the entire week.

We will also have the chance for an isolated shower or storm this afternoon and scattered showers or thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday afternoons.

A front will move through Friday into Saturday, allowing us to "cool down" into the mid 80s by Sunday.
