3 Killed In Separate Shootings Overnight In The City

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Three people were killed in separate shootings overnight in Baltimore City.

The first shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of W. North Avenue.

Police found 24-year-old Jermaine Scofield suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. Scofield was transported to an area hospital, where he died.

A second shooting was reported around 6 a.m. in the 800 block of N. Calhoun Street.

Officers found two men -- one shot in the stomach, the other with gunshots to his body. The second victim died from his injuries.

At about 6:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the 600 block of E. Patapsco Avenue for reports of a third shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
