6 Injured, Including 4 Kids In AACo. Head-On Crash

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)-- Six people, including four children, were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Anne Arundel County. The wreck happened at the height of rush hour, tying up traffic for hours. The road has since reopened.

It was a mangled wreck along College Parkway near Broadneck High School. Police say a minivan and SUV collided around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening. A 44-year-old man and two boys, ages 13 and 10, were inside the SUV; they were all taken to Shock Trauma, according to Anne Arundel County Fire.

A 40-year-old woman and two boys, ages eight and 11, were inside the minivan; they were taken to Johns Hopkins.

Police say the minivan crossed over the center line and hit the SUV. The driver of the minivan has received several citations, including failure to use a hands-free device.
