WEATHER BLOG: Scattered Storms In The Area Tonight

As of this hour, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are on First Warning doppler radar. These will last into the early evening hours before they dissipate and shift off to our east later tonight. Another hot day is on tap for Sunday with a good deal of sunshine. Other than an elevated shower or storm in western MD or a storm to our SE over Delmarva, we should be dry across central Maryland. Another front will approach from the NW on Monday night into Tuesday. The bulk of the day on Monday should be partly sunny, hot and humid but we will have to monitor the potential for strong to severe storms later in the day on Monday and Monday night. The front will linger in the vicinity on Tuesday with the chance for a shower or storm remaining in the forecast.
