Baltimore City Restaurant Week Gets Underway

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Baltimore City Restaurant Week is in full swing. For the remaining seven days everyone is invited to enjoy the food and discounts being offered from more than 100 different restaurants.

"We just like all of out guests to feel like family too. You're coming into our home, so we are going to take care of you the way you should be taken care of," said Gurvir Sigh, with Jimmy's Famous Seafood.

Jimmy's Famous Seafood is just one of the 100 different restaurants taking part in luring customers with its food and deals.

During Baltimore City Restaurant Week, customers can get breakfast and lunch meals for $12 to $20 and three- course dinners for under $35.

"This is a great opportunity for restaurants and consumers to be reintroduced to each other, try new menus, pick new favorites," said Marissa Moss, with Downtown Partnership of Baltimore.

Moss tells WJZ this this year is the 11th year for the event.

It's a good thing for many businesses during slow months as more people are on vacations out of the city.

"We get a lot of people from different parts of Maryland. A lot of people from western Maryland or southern Maryland, coming out and trying Jimmy's Seafood," said Sigh.

The options at many of the restaurants are always changing, so it's best to check the restaurant week website. For more information CLICK HERE.
